Courtyard By Marriott Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is known for it’s swimmable beaches and it’s amazing hotels, so we couldn’t wait to check into Courtyard by Marriott Nusa Dua :)

First Impressions

Loved the tropical feel of the hotel as we arrived. We were greeted by a friendly team and staff playing traditional Balinese instruments… there’s something so relaxing about Balinese music. We were looking forward to exploring the hotel.

Location, Location, Location

Well the hotel is not actually on the beach, however Courtyard by Marriott Nusa Dua does have a private beach club for guests. It is super easy to get there. Head to the driveway and the shuttle bus takes you right to the beach club. There are beach lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels as well as food and drinks at the bar. We spent hours here having a swim, read and a little snooze!

The Room

When we got to the room it had all those things you look for. The whole room seemed to flow well. The bathroom in our Premium Deluxe room was quite spacious especially with the inclusion off a built in bath tub which was nice. Everything was as you expect, comfy bed, good desk and the balcony area came in handy for us too for that afternoon coffee and relax.

Beyond The Room

The way the pool was used was quite good actually. The use of sand, plants and pebbles around some edges, as well as sloping making it appear you were at the beach not at the pool. We liked that in some areas you could here music, whilst you could swim further up and only hear the splashes you made.

The variety of the breakfast was pretty good. We juggled so many flavours each morning. Omelettes, pastries, juices, noodles, curries, fruit, rice pudding. We just about tried everything. We definitely left satisfied and ready for the day.

Another clever way they used the pool area was at night, the ‘island’ area is turned into a stage for live music. Live music always adds a different aspect to a dinner which we enjoyed.

We loved our stay here. Even though the hotel is not situated on the beach it was easy to use the shuttle service. Our room was all you could ask for, and the staff were nice, helpful and professional.
