I think there’s something special about staying in Uluwatu. Cliff top views, beautiful beaches surrounding you and a laid back feel that’s infectious. So it’s safe to say, we were a little bit excited about staying at Anantara Uluwatu.
Anantara Uluwatu: Our First Impressions
Arriving at Anantara, the first thing that hit’s you are the beautiful beach views. When is a beach view not immediately relaxing? And then we walked into our room, and we suddenly remembered how big Anantara rooms are and how luxe they feel with their marble floors.
Location, Location, Location
Anantara Uluwatu is actually in a pretty great location. With views of the beach and beach access, it makes relaxing pretty easy. And if you surf, I think you’ll be pretty happy here with Impossibles surf break out the front. They have a shuttle service to Padang Padang Beach which also has some shops just up the road including cafes, surf shops and convenience stores.
The Room
There’s something about Anantara rooms… it might be how big they are, or the beautiful finishes, or the balcony with views for miles. It just feels ultra luxe, like you’re staying in the penthouse. The bathroom came with his and her basins (somehow we still ended up using the same one!), a rain shower and extended onto the balcony with a giant Jacuzzi. We always love a good work desk to get some blogging done and this one came with ocean views ;) On top of all this, it has what feels like your own lounge room too.
Beyond The Room
We had dinner at Sea Fire Salt, one of Anantara’s restaurants that work on the concept of alternating Meat and Seafood BBQ’s. We had the Meat BBQ, the food was great and the service super friendly. We chose to sit outside overlooking the ocean.
We arrived early for dinner so we could settle in and enjoy sunset.
The beautiful infinity pool is designed so it looks like it almost melts into the ocean.
In true Uluwatu style we had a massage at the Anantara Spa. From start to end it enforced the relaxing beautiful nature of Anantara Uluwatu Resort and the Uluwatu area.
