This was our first time to Nusa Lembongan and staying at Lumbung Bali Huts was the perfect introduction. Choosing accommodation was hard, as they are all spread out at different beaches and locations in Nusa Lembongan. But we loved the style of the beach huts and the location seemed as good as any.
Our First Impressions
We got off the boat at Nusa Lembongan, got a lift to our accommodation and walked along the beach to get there. There’s just something about a beach hut! We had the hut at the front which leads straight onto the beach, and although simple inside, this was exactly the experience we wanted from our stay in Nusa Lembongan.
Location, Location, Location
Perhaps the most special thing about Lumbung Bali Huts is where it is. Nusa Lembongan. But not just Nusa Lembongan… on the beach in Nusa Lembongan. Mushroom Beach is the exact location, and this seemed to be pretty well located, within walking distance of some restaurants and local shops. Do keep in mind that there isn’t a lot of development on the island, so no matter where you stay, it will feel pretty remote. But that’s why you come here, to get away from the business that you run into on the mainland.
The Room And Beyond
The room is fairly basic, with a large room with a comfortable bed, and a simple bathroom. Showers weren’t always hot and water pressure is pretty low… but it’s an easy compromise for the location and tranquility. The best part of the room is the glass doors opening onto the beach. What I would say, is don’t come here expecting luxury, come here expecting a hut on the beach. At prices averaging $60 AUD per night, and it’s location on the beach, it was exactly what we needed.

Great photos from Bali! Did you have an opportunity to dive? There are some beautiful spots to see with natural and beautiful coral reef.
We didn’t have a chance to dive… maybe next time!
