Our Dinner at Bejana
When in Nusa Dua many of the best dining options are within hotels. Bejana at The Ritz-Carlton Nusa Dua is definitely proof of that. The Ritz-Carlton has a strong trusted name and for good reason. From the moment you arrive in the hotel lobby you automatically switch into relaxed mode yet in awe of the incredible view as you enter. The view from the top of the cliff is definitely a memorable one. After dinner we ended up back here, sitting and relaxing. Not wanting to leave.
One of our favourite design features of the restaurant was actually the door. It has to be one of the biggest, actually probably the biggest restaurant door we had ever seen. Seeing it swing open for us seemed very grand and exciting.
Where to Sit
Inside or outside was the next big decision. We opted for inside, only because the seating inside looked so comfy. And it was. The ocean view from the top of the cliff out over the hotel was special and the breeze was nice when we went out to check out the view. Bejana is a restaurant that highlights great Indonesian cuisine. We could not go past the Risjtaffel. This feast is made up of dishes from different Indonesian Islands, including Bali.

This was definitely a food journey through the islands of Indonesia including Bali, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Lombok . Every dish had its own identity and all the dishes left us wanting more!
Appetisers
The appetisers including a Seafood Soup and a delicate version of Gado-Gado were a great way to get the dinner started!
The Mains
The mains included some tasty dishes such as Sambal Udang, a spicy Prawn dish with coconut milk and Kalio Daging which is similar to a Beef Rendang. These are some of some of the dishes we love Indonesia for. The seasonal pickle, rice cakes and peanut sauce were also all delicious.
Dessert Time
We also got to try some great Balinese and Indonesian desserts. One of our favourites we found out was actually a Corn Cake. It was so smooth, creamy and satisfying. We tried just about every sweet on offer and all were authentic and the perfect way to top off our dinner at Bejana.
The Round-Up
Bejana at The Ritz-Carlton Nusa Dua is definitely a great restaurant to experience some great Indonesian and Balinese Food. The best ways to truly enjoy your time here would be to order the Risjtaffel or to enjoy their buffet offered on Friday Nights. The buffet is filled with many of the same dishes offered in the Risjtaffel plus so many more great choices.
So when in Nusa Dua and want that Indonesian feast you have been waiting for then head straight for Bejana at The Ritz-Carlton Nusa Dua. It is a combination of great food, views and design, not to mention the staff here were all incredibly friendly and passionate about their food. When you can see the passion in the chefs, and even the waiters and waitresses can tell you every detail of the cooking process, you can expect memorable, tasty, authentic food.
