Our Stay At The Tamarind Resort Nusa Lembongan Bali

The Tamarind Resort Nusa Lembongan Bali is a beautiful recently opened hotel. It’s amongst the best hotels in Nusa Lembongan and is the perfect place to come home to after days exploring beautiful Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida. As a small resort, there is a feeling of luxury and privacy whilst feeling like you’re getting to know the friendly and helpful staff too.

First Impressions

You will most likely arrive in Nusa Lembongan by boat at the harbour at Jungut Batu. Your feet will get wet and sandy, your bag wheels might get some sand too, just as they should when coming to an island. Then you only have a very short transfer to reach The Tamarind Resort Nusa Lembongan. Despite the fact that it’s an absolutely beautiful resort, I’m sure most visitors arrive with some evidence of sandy residue. Check-in at The Tamarind Resort Lembongan was quick and easy, all done on an iPad, and the staff are so friendly. As we arrived on an early boat to Nusa Lembongan before check-in time, we were able to go through the check-in process and leave our bags at the hotel. When we got back, after a day exploring beautiful Nusa Penida, our luggage was already in our room waiting for us, we were swiftly taken up to our room in a golf buggy, and enjoyed our welcome drink on our garden terrace. We were immediately relaxed after an adventurous day exploring, there was no better place to come home to.

Location, Location, Location

The Tamarind Resort is located in Jungut Batu, not too far from where the boats will drop you off. So it’s a super convenient location. It’s also within walking distances to the restaurants in Jungut Batu. This means if you want a relaxing day at your accommodation, you may not need a scooter or transport every day. I would, however, recommend hiring a scooter at least one day, to explore the other areas of Nusa Lembongan, like Mushroom Bay, Sandy Bay, Dream Beach, Devils Tear and of course, the neighbouring island of Nusa Ceningan.

The Tamarind Bathroom

We stayed in the Candrika room which has a beautiful garden terrace area to sit outside. The room was spacious and beautifully designed. The shower was fabulous and we loved the design of the bathroom in particular. We always love having a desk in our rooms, so that was a nice touch. Every night that we came ‘home’, we had the weather forecast for the next day with activity suggestions right next to a delicious cake.

The Grounds The Tamarind Resort Nusa Lembongan

Our favourite area of the hotel was the villa pool. This area has a pool bar and beautiful infinity pool overlooking Jungut Batu Beach, Nusa Lembongan and with views of Mount Agung.

Breakfast Nusa Lembongan

We also loved the main pool by Indica Restaurant. Indica restaurant is where you will have breakfast each morning. You will choose up to two menu items each, as well as tea or coffee and a fresh juice. Our favourite menu items were the smashed avocados, the acai power bowl, sunny side up and classic eggs benny.

Indica Restaurant Nusa Lembongan

You can also come to Indica for lunch or dinner. It has some great food options, the baby pork ribs and sate ayam were a favourite. They also have Amlika Spa to relax in and a gym. The Tamarind Resort has a golf buggy that they may be able to take you shorter distances from the hotel.
