First morning back in Bali. Wake Up. Shower. Get Dressed. Hungry. We woke up in Seminyak starving and in need of a good breakfast. The Fat Turtle ended up being our choice. It has been on our list for a while and we’re looking forward to give The Fat Turtle a try.
We read it could be hard to find. Well we had no trouble spotting fat turtles drawn on the wall outside but if you do have trouble its next to Deus Ex Machina, who has a more visible sign.
The feel was like every nice and relaxed cafe should be. The size was similar to that of neighbouring Cafe Organic but smaller than Sisterfields, Livingstone Bakery, Petitenget and those bigger cafes in Seminyak. Good atmosphere to start the day.
What We Ate
We did love the look of the Instagram friendly red velvet pancakes, but Mandy and I were persuaded by the desire for eggs.
Corn Fritters With Bacon, Tomato Relish and Avocado Hollandaise
Mandy opted for the corn fritters with poached eggs, bacon, tomato relish and avocado hollandaise. Mandy always likes a good corn fritter and these didn’t disappoint.
Eggs Benedict #1 With Pulled Pork Pickled Green Chilli, Salsa and Lime Hollandaise
I love even a sniff of hollandaise so ordering Eggs Benedict #1 was simple. I liked the combination of my eggs with pulled pork and lime hollandaise with pickled green chilli and also a salsa.
The coffee and cold pressed juices were good also. Overall I’ll be back. Good food, nice staff, friendly atmosphere. Wifi was good to us also. It is also one of the Best Places For Breakfast In Seminyak.
