When you are in Ubud you definitely have plenty of amazing places to get your caffeine fix. The best coffee in Ubud can be found at a few amazing spots. From small drink and run type places to big open cafes Ubud has you sorted. So let’s get started, all my go-to spots and my favourite coffee in Ubud.
Seniman Coffee Studio
This place is still the first place that comes to mind when asked where the best coffee in Ubud is. Nice space, amazing coffee in all shapes and sizes. A pioneer of coffee in Ubud and they take their coffee seriously, its called Seniman Coffee Studio not Seniman Cafe after all.
Location: Jl. Sriwedari No. 5, Ubud
Hours: Every day from 8 AM to 10 PM
Monkey Cave Espresso
Not a huge cafe, quite small, but the coffee is top notch. If I had to pick my favourite place for a flat white in Ubud this is the place. Charismatic baristas full of energy and paired with great coffee you can’t help but leave feeling good. They have a food menu but when we have been here in the afternoons, food has not been available, so just a coffee spot. Nothing wrong with that.
Location: Jl. Monkey Forest, Ubud
Hours: Every day from 8 AM to 6 PM
Revive
Revive Cafe is a new cafe in Ubud, not exactly in one of the most visited streets in Ubud, but if you are in the area (Penestanan village), they are a definite favourite of ours for amazing coffee. They know how to do delicious coffee right. More of a chilled, expat feel. On a day with a breeze, the balcony is nice.
Location: Jalan Raya, Penestanam, Ubud
Hours: 7:30 AM to 7 PM (Closed Wednesdays)
Watercress
If you are after more of a cafe feel (as opposed to a more of a coffee shop) this is your spot. Once again coffee is by Revolver, and the food here is delicious as well if you are after breakfast or lunch as well as great coffee. We love sitting upstairs and looking down to the street.
Location: Jl. Monkey Forest, Ubud
Hours: Every day from 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM
Juria House
This place is unlike all the others on this list. No machine espresso coffee here but that is fine because their coffee is special. The Juria coffee trees are rare, pure Typica trees growing on the Indonesian island of Flores. A true coffee experience. This was the first place I ever tried a manual espresso and I loved it and the flavour of Juria coffee was delicious. This is a small place with only a few seats.
Location: 3 Jl. Sugriwa, Ubud
Hours: 11 AM to 6 PM (Closed Saturday)
More Great Coffee In Ubud
So Ubud is yet another destination in Bali that has so many options for an amazing coffee. If you are short on time in Ubud then the places above are my picks for the best coffee in Ubud, however, if you find yourself wanting to try more places then these places below are still definitely worthy competition for the best coffee in Ubud.
Milk & Madu
A really nice big open cafe that has great coffee to go alongside your breakfast, lunch or pizza.
Location: Jl. Suweta No.3, Ubud

F.R.E.A.K Coffee Ubud
Freak Coffee Ubud, which stands for Fresh Roasted Enak Arabica from Kintamani. And the coffee is enak (delicious) and the staff are friendly too. If you are getting a latte I would get a double shot.
Location: 9, Jl. Hanoman, Ubud
Hours: Every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Ubud Coffee Roastery
Nice little spot to grab that afternoon coffee.
Location: Jl Gautama Selatan, Ubud
Hours: Every day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Kahiyang Coffee
Sit either up or downstairs, I enjoyed my piccolo. Great selection of beans they roast themselves.
Location: No.1 Jl. Kajeng, Ubud
Hours: Every day from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Gangga Coffee Ubud
When it comes to the coffee, it’s really great. We came here before continuing on to Tegallalang Rice Terraces, so if you have a coffee pang on the way to or from Tegallalang then stop off for a coffee, otherwise it may be a bit out of the way.
Location: Jl. Raya Andong no 18, Ubud
Hours: Every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Ibu Susu
This is more of a restaurant environment, but it’s a great spot for a coffee too. Monkey Cave Espresso is just across the road so if the best coffee in Ubud is your priority then I would head there, but Ibu Susu is a better pick if you want some amazing food too. They also have one of the best bars in Ubud with some of the best cocktails in town.
Location: Jl. Monkey Forest, Ubud
Hours: Every day from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Grandpas
Small place, often busy but great for a quick coffee or after lunch espresso.
Location: Jl. Monkey Forest, Ubud
Hours: Every day from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Anomali Coffee Ubud
Great for lots of different methods of coffee in a nice, multi-level cafe environment.
Location: Jalan Raya Ubud No. 88, Ubud

Old Friends Coffee Bali
The only place on this list we have not been to yet. Next time we are in Ubud it will be our first stop. Their mission is to deliver a cup of authentic Bali Kintamani coffee directly from the farm to you.
