Where To Stay In Nusa Dua: Our Nusa Dua Accommodation Guide

Where To Stay In Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua can often be overlooked as a great place to stay in Bali. Admittedly, it isn’t brimming with the culture of Ubud or the restaurants of Seminyak, but Nusa Dua has it’s own special qualities. Nusa Dua has nice swimmable beaches, it’s a fairly safe area to stay in Bali, a boardwalk along the beach to start your day with a morning walk, water sports, and it’s a great location to base yourself for day trips to other areas of Bali. Oh, and one of the standout things about Nusa Dua is the amazing hotels that line the beach. So where to stay in Nusa Dua? Here’s our Nusa Dua accommodation guide to help you choose…

Where To Stay In Nusa Dua? Let’s Get Oriented.

Nusa Dua Bali

Nusa Dua is located along the eastern coast of Southern Bali. A lot of Nusa Dua accommodation options are located along the beach. But some are located further inland.

So where to stay in Nusa Dua? When staying in Nusa Dua I think it’s pretty important to stay either on the beach or not too far from it. After all, the beach is one of Nusa Dua’s best qualities.

The northern area of Nusa Dua is called Tanjung Benoa. Here there are lot’s of water sports and an excellent Balinese restaurant, Bumbu Bali. The middle area is the most central in terms of shops (although there aren’t that many shops). The south area is closer to Pandawa Beach.

What’s your pick for where to stay in Nusa Dua? Let us know if you have any questions in the comments below…

  1. What hotel is the swim up bar located at the top of the “WHERE TO STAY IN NUSA DUA: OUR NUSA DUA ACCOMMODATION GUIDE” page?

  2. 14 day trip– Need help
Night 1,2,3 in Ubud River Moon, Night 4,5 in Karma Kandara-
We want to scuba and finish at the beach for 4-5 nights. And our friend is leaving Feb 25th so need to somewhat near the airport for a 9:00 pm flight. I can’t figure if we can do Gili or out islands? Not interested in touristy areas. Please help– Daughter is meeting us from Iraq- want to make it memorable!!

    1. Hi Jen, Jimbaran is a great spot to spend your last night as its close to the airport. If you go to the Gili’s I would stay at least 2 days, as the boat there/back can be tiring. One thing is I would recommend spending your last night back on Bali. Just in case your boat is delayed. You can scuba in the Gili’s and another scuba option could be Nusa Lembongan and those islands too, which are a little closer. That will be great meeting with your daughter! The beach where Karma Kandara is, is really nice! Wishing you a memorable trip! Let us know if you need any more help, Chris + Mandy :)

  3. hi
we are going to Bali in April’18…… we are hoping the weather is good at this time of the year.
we will be saying at the Melia Bali In Nusa Dua, do you know of this hotel.

we are travelling with a 25, 32 and 30 year old.
we are hoping that there will be lots for them to do. we of course will explore the islands and not just stay at the resort.
I would like to relax a little while they will want to e on the go all the time.

    thanks for the blog

    1. Hi Joanne, April is a great time of year to be in Bali :) Yes we know of the Melia, we haven’t stayed there but walked passed and it looks great! Nusa Dua has access to many types of water sports if that’s what they like, in terms of other activities there is less in Nusa Dua than say, Seminyak or Ubud, but you can always head out of Nusa Dua for activities (you can reach a lot of places easily from Nusa Dua) :) You can certainly spend your time enjoying the Melia’s hotel! Have a great trip!

    1. Hi Ravi, we haven’t stayed on that side on Nusa Dua before so not 100% what it would be like, but the hotel itself looks nice. It seems to be near Bumbu Bali (one of our favourite Balinese restaurants) so that’s a plus!
